Bellingen Nights

swollen rockpools
welcome my warm flesh
creek water plays over my body/mind

pebbles and small stones
give way under my feet

i push down
with my heels
then
float

no longer here
there ...

in between

Rainforest
by wisp Tuesday, Mar 23 2010, 10:04pm

hidden by mist
a cacophony of life
chirps, howls
and warbles
in the undergrowth
and canopy

I stoop over and
admire a
wild
jungle orchid,
rare and exquisite

muffled by forest chatter
I hear the faint
sound
of a jungle drum
beating
a hypnotic rhythm
through the mist
