Mephistopheles and Diablos image What best describes these two? pin, Thursday, Nov 29 2007, 10:07am
‘Evil’ is a relative (binary) term and is therefore not useful for thinking persons. However, MALEVOLENT is an emphatic descriptor and an extremely accurate and useful term. (story and 1 image)

Close encounters image Dragons and other Crises quin, Wednesday, Nov 7 2007, 6:45am
Since the South Asian earthquake and ensuing tsunami the Indonesian Archipelago has continued on its very unstable geological course. Every week geophysicists are treated to more rumblings from the earth’s crust. All things being connected in the geophysical sense, it is highly likely that recent volcanic activity in one area of the ‘ring of fire’ will unleash catastrophic forces on the other side of the world – in areas that have high density city populations. I am referring to the release of thousands of megatons of energy the destructive power of which makes a nuclear blast equivalent to a fireworks display. (story and 1 comment and 3 images)

text Living and Dying cultural icons of Our Time budgie, Tuesday, Sep 11 2007, 2:26pm
A story by ninemsn staff reporters of a visit to Oz of fading porn ‘star,’ Jenna Jameson -- no she’s not here to cop a battering from every stray 'sav' in town; she’s buying a bloody dress in Perth. Jameson, a bovine-breasted ‘blonde’ fuck-bucket, has probably seen more dicks than most women dream of in their wildest fantasies. But bovine blondes do nothing for me – my preferences lean more toward exotic Asian dolls – which allows me ample distance for a hopefully unbiased treatment of this odd ‘news piece!’

a_ba.jpg image Tight as a Drum: APEC security may overwhelm Itself Mel Bourne, Thursday, Aug 23 2007, 9:53pm
Professionals are expressing concern at Sydney’s over zealous approach to APEC security. Word has it that protesters and associated groups have been briefed to make their most dynamic ‘statement’ during a planned diversionary tactic guaranteed to trigger a cacophony of responses from authorities, local and international! text Trouble in Hedgistan: “Its gonna get a lot worse” Mike Whitney via rialator, Sunday, Jul 22 2007, 12:35am
Two columns of black smoke can be seen rising over Wall Street and disappearing into the ice-blue New York sky. Terrorism? Not quite. The plumes of smoke are all that’s left of two major hedge funds which blew up just weeks ago leaving nothing behind but a few smoldering embers and a mound of black soot.

colonoscopy.gif image Colons, Polyps and Cognisance zebra, Saturday, Jul 21 2007, 12:27am
George W Bush finally formalised his relationship with Cheney and acknowledged him as the true President prior to entering hospital for a colonoscopy. Doctors were surprised to discover that one of the polyps removed from Bush’s rectum turned out to be his brain. Surgeons were astonished to learn that a tiny polyp-sized brain could function in the human rectum – a fact that didn’t surprise the public! (story and 1 image)

audio Howard: too familiar and contemptible subterranean zeppelin, Friday, Jul 20 2007, 5:33pm
The extraordinary Haneef fiasco highlights the increasingly desperate tactics Howard is willing to employ to save the un-savable. Everyone, whether Lib or Lab is sick of Howard. But there’s no stopping our home grown lying little war criminal, Johnny! If he takes a greater risk than victimising/scapegoating Haneef, whatever scurrilous action he dreams up, it could well land him and other involved conservatives in the dock or land his entire party so far into the political wilderness that a blacktracker wouldn’t be able to find it! text The Impending Global Liquidity Crisis Mike Whitney via rialator, Tuesday, Jun 5 2007, 10:31pm
Stock markets across the world have been skyrocketing lately. In fact, Forbes reported on Tuesday that: “all 22 of the developed-world markets tracked by Morgan Stanley Capital International are in positive territory year-to-date. …Emerging markets are looking just as flush. Of the 29 emerging market countries that MSCI tracks, only four--Argentina, Sri Lanka, Russia and Venezuela--are in negative territory.”

text WAR of the 21st Century cleaves, Saturday, Feb 3 2007, 2:41pm
The real war today is for survival; whether the species earns the right to survive or annihilates itself remains to be seen but the money is on annihilation, where it belongs! It is counter-productive to focus on the external manifestations of man’s evolutionary struggle against his dual nature – the WAR today is the final war for the species, it is the last battle of LIFE against DEATH.

Thoth image The Emerald Tablet of Hermes clavicle, Sunday, Dec 17 2006, 8:28pm
History of the Tablet (largely summarised from Needham 1980, Holmyard 1957) The Tablet probably first appeared in the West in editions of the psuedo-Aristotlean Secretum Secretorum which was actually a translation of the Kitab Sirr al-Asar, a book of advice to kings which was translated into latin by Johannes Hispalensis c. 1140 and by Philip of Tripoli c.1243. Blazing Saddles imageattachment Fart Power: there is hope after all! happy jack, Wednesday, Dec 13 2006, 10:48am
A woman with an attack of flatulence recently forced a commercial airliner to the ground after other passengers began to complain of sulphur fumes in the cabin! True story, but I wouldn’t attempt to convince the sceptics, too hard! [See link.] There is power in them thar farts, and you’d better believe it – for more reasons than would be immediately apparent. (story and 1 comment and 1 image and 1 attached file)

Destroy Capitalism -- $30 image Banksy Industries Stocks Plummet (?) Art Scool of Hard Knocks drop out, Tuesday, Nov 14 2006, 7:24am
Compilation of numerous articles relating to Banksy, 21st century artist of the stoneage.

When you are unable to understand something, criticize it! It makes no difference to Banksy, all reactions to his ART have been pre-empted by the gutter-rat maestro himself.

One aspect of his genius is his use of inter-dimensionality -- not entirely an original method -- he appropriated it from cave art and 'primitive man'.

Nonetheless, the man is a fuckin' genius, go man, go! (story and 2 images)

A very 'superior' V image Masked Face of “V” Anne Coulter, Tuesday, Aug 1 2006, 10:02am
Whether or not the Wachowski Brothers ‘succeeded’ with their latest movie, “V”, is not on issue. It nevertheless deserves a cursory analysis; a half-hearted attempt at film production deserves only a half-considered response/critique. (story and 5 comments and 1 image)

text Tail Pursuits: The meandering of men ninn, Thursday, Mar 2 2006, 1:42am
We laugh when we see a dog chase its tail, yet are we so superior? Do we not seek what we already possess? The dog’s tail is not elsewhere or ‘external’, the dog thinks/believes its tail must be captured though it was never lost or disconnected. When people chase externals, Gods, religions, ideologies they seek that which they already possess (solace/identity/security/redemption/joy/harmony) yet it is the same canine ignorance that deludes people as deludes the poor dumb beast. To seek what one possesses is to lose it through the process of seeking – seeking is not possessing!
