It is not widely known that the Cleaves site was developed from the Indymedia (IMC) model. The current CMS software package in use by the Cleaves team is a product of Indymedia Ireland. We acknowledge that our existence (and continuing presence) would not have been possible but for the assistance of the IMC and as a show of solidarity we take this opportunity to throw our support behind our persecuted comrades in the Independent Media.

Collette plays four (five if you count Toni) characters emanating from ONE character suffering multiple personality disorder, a condition not unfamiliar to the paralysed, sedated masses!

Amid substantiated reports that Rupert Murdoch’s ‘journalists’ illegally accessed the voice mails and other private data of citizens in the UK, mandatory internet censorship in Australia proceeds undeterred; though it is NOW clear that the original excuse, ‘child porn,’ is a Trojan horse allowing a host of other sites, peer file sharing, and adult GAME sites, to be filtered! The real agenda -- stemming losses to Murdoch’s Entertainment and Media Empire -- should now be apparent to everyone. Murdoch’s SORDID CHARACTER is revealed by this latest scandal, notwithstanding his membership in the CFR and secretive Bilderberg group. Take note Oz, this is the man that dictates policy to Australian politicians! Take a good look at Murdoch’s servants, Rudd, Swan, Smith and Conroy, and then try to imagine these lackeys with spines – impossible!

Here's hoping Google gets hammered

It's a sad day when the battle for digital information is between two of the world's most obscene IT Companies, Microsoft and Google. Neither self-serving company has the interests of the public at heart, especially in China, and in the West if hidden information detailing Google's unsavoury relationship with NSA and other security agencies became known! Microsoft is no better having once supplied a 'backdoor' to its Operating System at the request of the NSA. Nevertheless, the stranglehold Google has on information is far worse than the author intimates -- any real democratic government would have legislated long ago forcing Google to relinquish its hold on information searches. Idiotic governments seem to be unaware of today's digital axioms: 'Whoever controls the flow of information rules the world', including governments! Let's hope the open source community gets a viable product out there soon -- then lobbying can begin in earnest! Ed.

A well constructed report on the LTTE defeat by the Sri Lankan military was aired on Radio Australia today, a 7 out of 10 effort! It is refreshing to see Australia NOT making news for xenophobia, racism and its shameless, servility to the United States – ‘for a change!’ Nevertheless, America is never far removed from its most servile colony.

Murdoch orders Rudd to implement fibre optic to the HOME!

After fumbling Rupert’s last dictate – mandatory internet censorship -- the Oz labour government is embarking on a broadband scheme which puts new meaning in the terms ‘overkill’ and ‘wild spending!’ A forty three (43) BILLION dollar nationwide project to install fibre optic to the home! That is a crazy amount of public money in view of the fact that government is the least qualified organisation to undertake such a project.

Corporate errand boy and Oz Communications Minister, Stephen Conroy, has selected a group of minor (compliant) ISPs (see link) to conduct his INFORMATION CENSORSHIP tests. Telstra, iinet and Optus, by far the three largest carriers in the country, have ‘somehow’ been excluded from the tests, which would throw into question any results obtained with non-representative carriers – it’s a MATTER OF SCALE, stupid!

It is becoming abundantly clear to every Australian that the Rudd Labor Government hasn’t a clue. After one year in office the PM, Kevin ‘07’ (Dud) and his pack of no-hoper ministers have demonstrated their collective inability to deal with the major issues confronting the nation; not least of which is upgrading the archaic broadband network -- known to be a liability on all users, especially the business, medical, scientific and agricultural/rural communities.
